On Tuesday 28th October, Pasteur Foundation UK hosted a special event in collaboration with the French Embassy in London and the University of Oxford to launch a landmark new partnership between Institut Pasteur and the University of Oxford.

Our very own Pasteurian and Franco-British Council Young Leader, Boris Chaumette had the pleasure of meeting President Macron and Prime Minister Keir Starmer alongside fellow young leaders, a proud moment for our foundation and a testament to the strength of our shared values in championing Franco-British research, education and innovation.

On Wednesday 29th January, Jean-Baptiste Masson represented the Institut Pasteur at La French Tech London's event around AI in Health. The event formed part of the 2025 AI Action Summit.

In October 2024, current Chief Executive and Director of the Francis Crick Institute and Trustee of Pasteur Foundation UK, Sir Paul Nurse was confirmed as President Elect of the Royal Society. He will take over from Adrian Smith, the current President, on 1 December 2025.

On Wednesday August 14, in response to the active circulation of clade 1 monkeypox virus (MPXV) in Central Africa and the recent expansion of a subtype (1b) thought to be more lethal and transmissible in East Africa, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), paving the way for enhanced coordination between regional health systems and the active engagement of stakeholders to tackle this global outbreak.

On 15th November 2023 The Institut Pasteur announced the launch of the Pasteur Foundation – UK, a private non-profit foundation aiming to raise awareness and funds for scientific cooperations between the Institut Pasteur in Paris and scientific institutions in the UK.
